Telonics Marker Beacon Transmitters are used for calibrating RA-NS and other direction-finding antenna arrays, calibrating data acquisition systems, pin-pointing specific locations from aircraft, locating camps in heavy vegetation, educational purposes, and other applications.

Note: Estimates of battery life are based on continuous operation at 1000ms pulse period (60 beats per minute) at 0°C. Dimensions include mounting tabs as shown. Operational life for TMBR-100-3 is calculated with alkaline AA cells. 60 beats per minute is the default pulse rate for these models unless otherwise specified at the time of purchase.

TMB-503-3

  • Hermetically sealed case allows for extended deployments in extreme environments. Operational temperature range is -40 to 70°C.
  • Supplied with a dipole, whip antenna for increased range, and includes CAST-2 casting option.
  • Shutdown with the use of a small magnet for storage.
  • Can be refurbished to original condition at Telonics.

TMBR-100-3

  • Easily user-replaceable batteries, using three AA-cells (1.5 volt, either alkaline or lithium). With alkaline cells operating temperature is -20 to 54°C; with lithium cells it is -40 to 60°C.
  • Shutdown with the use of a small magnet for short-term storage, or remove batteries for long-term storage.

Telonics Inc. ships all systems containing lithium batteries in accordance with the US Department of Transportation rules for hazardous materials set forth in 49CFR and the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Shipping dangerous goods can be complicated and confusing, consult a dangerous goods specialist if needed. The general requirements for shipping lithium batteries according to 49CFR are located in Part 173, Subpart 173.185 in the link below.
